What happens after your event

The event chatroom stays open for 24 hours and feedback keeps arriving already sorted into operational categories, so there is no survey to send. Attendance is final once check-in closes, multi-day runs get per-day new-versus-returning figures, and everything exports as CSV.

The chatroom stays open for 24 hours

It does not close when the event does. Attendees can keep posting for a day afterwards, and those messages are classified into the same operational categories as the ones sent during the night.

The window is 24 hours rather than a week for a reason worth knowing: attendees forget roughly half the detail within an hour of leaving and most of the rest within a day. Feedback written in the taxi home names the specific door and the specific bar. Feedback collected a week later says the queues were bad.

Why there is no survey to send

Post-event surveys draw 5–15% of attendees, arrive after the detail has gone, and describe an event that already finished. The chatroom is answered by people who are already in it, while they still remember. There is more on the trade-off in the guide on survey response rates.

Nothing stops you sending a survey as well. It is simply not where the useful material comes from.

Your numbers, once check-in closes

  • Attendance — guests who checked in inside the geofence, excluding crew. This is the figure to compare between events.
  • Peak occupancy — the highest the room reached, crew included. Read it alongside the capacity you set.
  • The arrival curve — when people actually turned up, which is what to plan staffing against next time.
  • Categorized feedback — counts per operational category rather than a transcript to read.

Multi-day events

A festival or a conference gets per-day attendance split into new and returning attendees, plus retention between days.

That distinction is the whole value of the breakdown. Two thousand people on Saturday and two thousand on Sunday is one event if it is the same crowd and a different one if it is not, and a single total for the run cannot tell you which.

Exporting

Attendance and event data export as CSV. Separately, every administrative action taken on your organization — members added, roles changed, people removed and the reason given — is recorded in an audit log you can read.

If you own the venue

Venue owners see a different set of things across all events in the building:

  • Utilization per room
  • Which organizers re-book, and how often
  • Ratings attached to the venue itself rather than to a single event

What is not here yet

Named so you do not go looking: no heatmaps, no dwell-time analytics, no custom branding on reports, and no mood or sentiment score beyond the operational categories. We are deliberately slow on the last one — a mood score is easy to ship and easy to act on wrongly.

Common questions

How long does the event chatroom stay open after the event?
24 hours. It closes automatically after that. The window exists because attendees forget roughly half the detail within an hour of leaving, so feedback written the same night is substantially more specific than anything a survey collects days later.
Do I need to send a post-event survey?
No, and that is the point. Feedback arrives through the chatroom during and just after the event, already sorted into operational categories, from far more people than the 5 to 15 percent who typically answer a survey.
What do I get for a multi-day event?
Per-day attendance, split into new and returning attendees, plus retention between days. It answers whether day two was a different crowd or the same one coming back, which a single total for the whole run cannot.
Can I export my event data?
Yes. Attendance and event data export as CSV, and every administrative action on your organization is recorded in an audit log you can read.
